Fun and sturdy, but doesn't really turn

I got this for my 4-year-old daughter on her birthday because she wanted to be like the (older) neighbor kids on their scooters. This has been a very good scooter for a kid her age, and it is true, many of the older neighbor kids like it a lot too. I think its main benefit is its sturdiness--I think it gives kids confidence because they aren't losing their balance. However, when I was putting it together I called for technical assistance, simply because the handle does not turn, which I hadn't really expected. If the scooter rider leans in one direction or the other, the scooter will drift in that direction, but make no mistake, this scooter does not turn corners. The rider has to dismount or jerk the scooter to make a radical directional change. That said, my daughter doesn't seem to care. She loves it.

Great scooter!

Our son loves this scooter. We bought it for his 3rd birthday and he rides it everyday. With the two wheels in the front not in the back it makes it easier for him to balance on the scooter. The only down fall is the scooter base is plastic and it has a weight limit on it. When our son steps on it, it bends a little. All in all this was a great buy!
